LETHBRIDGE AREA SCHOOLS

About Lethbridge

The beautiful city of Lethbridge is located in the Southern Region of Alberta.  It is approximately 2 hours South of Calgary and home to approximately 100,000 people.

Local attractions include the Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens, Helen Schuler Nature Centre, Fort Whoop-Up, Galt Gardens, and Whoop-Up Days Fair and Exhibition.  Lethbridge is well known for its scenic prairie landscapes and is home to one of the highest and longest train bridges in the world.

Only about an hour East of the Southern Canadian Rockies, it boasts beautiful sunsets, picturesque Mountain Views, and gorgeous seasonal colors.  Also, the climate in the Lethbridge region is typically slightly warmer that the rest of the province.  This makes it an ideal place for agriculture, such as cereal crops, legumes, corn, and sunflowers.
